The ‘Volunteering & Equality’ project is an action funded by the European Volunteer Centre, through the VERA 2024 Programme, which runs from 1 April to 10 December 2024, in a partnership between Pista Mágica, the Portuguese Confederation of Volunteering and the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. The aim of this initiative is to carry out a nationwide diagnostic study to find out: the needs and existing resources of organisations promoting volunteering in the context of welcoming people with disabilities as volunteers; and the obstacles pointed out by people with disabilities in accessing volunteering opportunities. These results will be compiled, publicised and presented at a national event at the end of 2024.
