Following the success of previous editions, CEOS.PP celebrates the 3rd edition of Researcher's Day on 5 December at Coimbra Business School | ISCAC.
The aim of this annual event is to disseminate the research carried out by CEOS.PP members, strengthen collaboration within the academic community, and promote interdisciplinary dialogue that will foster new opportunities and research projects.
On Friday, 5 December 2025, starting at 2 p.m., CEOS.PP Polo de Coimbra will open its doors to a dynamic space for scientific sharing, presenting the work produced by researchers from various fields and institutions.
The keynote conference, delivered by Professor Carlos J. Costa, will focus on the relevance of Artificial Intelligence in academic research, offering an inspiring and thought-provoking reflection on the opportunities and challenges that AI brings to contemporary scientific practice.

Carlos J. Costa
ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon
Carlos J. Costa is an Associate Professor at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon, where he teaches and researches in the fields of Information Systems, Data Science, and Management.
He holds a PhD in Information Science and Technology from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, a Master’s degree in Management Sciences, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Portuguese Catholic University.
Professor Costa has authored and co-authored numerous publications in international journals and conferences on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning in Management, Gamification, ERP Systems, and Technology Adoption.
He has held leadership positions in several research centres, including AD–DETTI-IUL and ISTAR-IUL, and currently serves as Chair of the European Chapter of ACM SIGDOC. At ISEG, he also coordinates the PhD in Management programme.
His research focuses on the intersection between technology, management, and organisational innovation — exploring how Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies are transforming the way knowledge is produced and applied in academia and industry.
