Rita Mota, Jéssica Carneiro and Cláudia Pinto, research fellows at CEOS.PP, took part in the seminar Trajectories and Migratory Dynamics in Porto, which marked the culmination of the first research phase of the MIGAP Project.
The MIGAP - MigrAção no Porto project, which has the support of CEOS.PP, organised the International Seminar on Migratory Trajectories and Dynamics in Porto on 10 December, the date on which International Human Rights Day was celebrated.
The MIGAP project began in March 2024 with the aim of understanding the migratory dynamics of migrants living in Greater Porto. To this end, the members of the MIGAP team contacted several migrants of different nationalities in order to understand their individual and collective experiences, with the aim of analysing the challenges they faced during the integration process and the adaptation strategies they adopted.
The results of this first study were presented on 10 December 2024 at the University of Maia, during the International Seminar on Migration Trajectories and Dynamics in Porto. In addition, the socio-demographic profile of the participants was identified, serving as a starting point for the second part of the work.
Rita Mota, Jéssica Carneiro and Cláudia Pinto, research fellows at CEOS.PP and members of the MIGAP team, attended the event, which marked the culmination of the study.
