Maria Cavalcante
Associate Researcher
Maria Cavalcante is enrolled in a PhD programme in Information Technologies and Systems, having completed a Master of Information Systems at the University of Minho in Portugal. With a solid background that includes a postgraduate course in People Management for Quality and a Bachelor of Pedagogy from Univag in Brazil, her academic and professional career is diverse. Although she is a civil servant in the State Traffic department of Mato Grosso, Brazil, she currently devotes herself exclusively to her academic research.
As a researcher at CEOS.PP, her interests centre on the study of Information Technologies and Systems as vectors of transformation in organisations and society. Maria's research focuses particularly on Digital Transformation Initiatives, seeking to analyse how these can be catalysts for change, improving organisational practices and facilitating the adoption of new technologies in a sustainable and innovative way in society.
