João Silva
Associate Researcher
João Silva holds a PhD in Economics from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho and a bachelor's and master's degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. His research focuses on applied economics, with a particular emphasis on the economics of culture and public economics, and more recently covering areas of international and digital economics. He has actively participated in scientific production and dissemination, presenting papers at major international conferences, such as the International Conference on Cultural Economics (USA), the International Conference on Cultural Policy Research (Poland) and AIMAC (Lisbon), among others. He is a Visiting Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, where he teaches International Economics and Portuguese and European Economics. With consolidated experience in strategic consulting, he has collaborated on projects evaluating public policies and territorial development. At the same time, he maintains a strong connection to volunteering and active citizenship initiatives.
